Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., in 1966, The Heather was the first BOYNE Golf course, and its challenge remains absolutely timeless. The course is widely considered to be one of the finest championship courses in the nation. The Heather was named the 2019 National Course of the Year and the 2018 Michigan Course of the Year. Bearing all the markings of its legendary designer, this Robert Trent Jones Sr., The Heather has earned its reputation as one of the finest championship courses in the entire United States.
