Palmetto Dunes George Fazio Course

Golf has been a fixture on Hilton Head Island since 1962. The area boasts over 26 championship courses that are both public and private. Hilton Head has courses designed by renowned architects such as Robert Trent Jones Sr., Pete Dye, and Jack Nicklaus. Players of all levels can enjoy diverse courses, from oceanfront to traditional parkland layouts, complemented by Southern hospitality and favorable year-round weather.
Hilton Head Island's only par-70 public golf course, the George Fazio course at Palmetto Dunes is one of the island's most distinctive and challenging layouts. Many golfers regard it as the most challenging public course on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, but don't let that intimidate you. It is designed to be a true but fair test for golfers of all skill levels. One of the youngest golf courses to be featured on Golf Digest's list of America's 100 Best, it was also recently named South Carolina Golf Course of the Year by the SC Golf Course Owners Association. With only two par 5s, the heart of the course lies in a series of long par 4s, beginning with the 432-yard first hole and ending with the 462-yard 18th. With new state-of-the-art Diamond Zoysia greens, the Fazio Course delivers a peak golf experience you're sure to remember.
